American Idol's Top 5

The Results Night on ETC Watch American Idol at 6:00pm. But I've already seen their website and the Idol journey who will end now is.... Elise Testone.

Elise Testone was eliminated on “American Idol” Thursday night and sang Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” as her farewell song. Hollie Cavanagh and Skylar Laine were in the bottom three with Testone, but they’ll be back next Wednesday to compete in the top five.  Some 58 million votes were cast to decide this week’s results. The Queen Extravaganza, a band formed by original members Roger Taylor and Brian May through an Internet competition, opened the show with a performance of the Queen classic, “Somebody to Love.”
The top six visited the TMZ offices in Los Angeles for a few lessons on how to deal with the intrusive media now that they’re celebrities. Season 10′s Stefano Langone returned to sing his new single, “I’m on a Roll,” with help from Ben J from New Boyz. Fellow season 10 contestant Casey Abrams was also on hand to give the top six some advice going into the “Idol” tour this summer. Katy Perry was lowered onto the stage to sing her latest hit, “Part of Me.” She was backed up by troupe of dancers all wearing camouflage to go with the war zone-like set.
Let's say goodbye to Elise Testone from Charlestone from South Carolina. But I'm still happy because Jessica Sanchez is still on the running to the first Fil-Am American Idol! Yay!

How to Protect your hair from Sun Damage! :D

Konnichiwa! I'll be making another blog about our lovely hair to protect it from the UV rays of the sun! So we will continue to have our Happy Summer! Let's Start! :]

1.Wet your hair and spritz on a leave-in conditioner before hitting the beach or pool. Look for products that contain an SPF (sun-protection factor). This will coat the shaft of the hair with a protective keep the hat on!

2.The best way to protect your hair from the sun's rays is to block the exposure to the sun. Whether you decide to put on a baseball cap or don a wide brimmed beauty, most hats provide 100% protection from the sun's rays. Of course, if portions of your hair hang out of the hat, you'll want to protect that in other ways!

3.While I think the idea of shampoos and conditioners with SPF are pretty great, in reality they just aren't the best option. Anything that you rinse off your hair can not leave behind enough SPF to protect your hair from the sun.

4.Reduce your amount of loose hair. For instance, styling your hair in braids and ponytails limits the amount of hair that's exposed to direct sunlight. It also decreases preparation time, which can be beneficial in case your plans quickly change.

5. Refrain from using oily hair products before going into direct sunlight. Use caution when applying products such as oil sheen, hair sprays and gels as sunlight can heat these products to dangerous temperatures. Consider using these products before bedtime, or on days when you won't be in the sun for long periods, in order to receive the benefits without the burn

Don't Forget These Final Tips
Half the battle of protecting your hair from the sun happens when you're not even in the sun!

  • Clarify! If you're using a UV protection in your hair, don't forget to use a clarifying shampooonce a week. SPF will build up on your hair shaft and a clarifying shampoo can remedy that. For lots of build up, try a super clarifying treatment.
  • Protect Your Part! Use full strength SPF directly on your scalp where you part your hair. The scalp's direct exposure to the sun in that manner can burn and peel! Hit your ears with the sunscreen as well!
  • Maintain Moisture! Weekly deep conditioning treatments will help keep the damage by the sun at a minimum. Because the sun breaks down the hair's protein (keratin) its important to use a deep conditioning treatment with protein or keratin.
  • Just Say NO!... to alcohol, peroxide, lemon juice, and "sun activated hair lightening" products. Check the labels and stay away from hair products that contain high levels of alcohol or peroxide. And please, do not try to lighten your hair using lemon juice or other sun activated hair lightening products. These products will cause your hair to dry out faster and will speed the process of damage caused by the sun.

D.I.Y. Face Masks!

Konnichiwa! I'm here to tell you some Do it yourself Face Masks to help your skin be clearer, cleaner , pimple free and porcelain like-skin. I recommend to use it everyday but only once a day preferably before going to bed.Have fun doing this masks! Let's start!

1. Homemade Face Mask for Ashy Skin! :]
Sugar is a preferred exfoliant to salt because it tends not to tear at the skin. When dead skin collects on the surface of skin, it's important to slough it away. This helps clear up clogged pores. When skin isn't exfoliated, it can appear ashy.

Ingredients:
>2 tbsp sugar
>3 tbsp warm water

Preparation  -Stir sugar into warm water so that it melts.                                                                                                        -Make sure granules are dissolved, otherwise they could tear your skin.-Apply to the face. -Gently massage around the skin.-Rinse with warm water OR I like to take a warm washcloth that's steamed in the microwave. Make sure the washcloth is not too hot.

2. Egg White and Yogurt Facial Mask ( For All Types of Skin.)
Model Shalom Harlow calls this homemade face mask (only 2 ingredients required!) "moisturizing and soothing."

Ingredients:
>2 egg whites, separated from the yolk and placed in a bowl
>2 tablespoons of plain yogurt (I like Greek yogurt)

Preparation:-Separate the egg whites from a couple eggs and place them in a bowl.- Add 2 tablespoons of yogurt (do not use flavored yogurt!).
-Mix them up and apply to face.
-Leave on face for a few minutes then rinse face in warm water, followed by a warm washcloth.

3. Banana Mask for Oily Skin (For Oily Skin)

Ingredients:>1 banana, preferably ripe (you can keep ripe bananas in the freezer. Let it thaw before using)>1 tbsp honey>An orange or a lemon

Preparation:-Mix the banana and honey together.-Add a few drops of juice from an orange or a lemon.-Apply to face for 15 minutes before rinsing with a cool washcloth or a steaming warm washcloth.

4. Cofee Face Mask (Pimple Killer!)
The coffein in the Coffee makes the skin look fresh. The sugar and coffee smooths the skin because it removes the old skin particles. The cream makes the skin soft and delicate.
Ingredients:
> 3 tablespoons of Coffee
> 5 teaspoons of sugar
> 5 teaspoons of milk/cream (I'm using fresh milk!)

Preparation:
-Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
-First, clean your face then brush and coat your whole face except the eye area!
-Now it's time to scrub.
-After 5 mins, wash of the scrub by water.

TIPS:
- I recommend rubbing an ice cube in your face. It makes the skin really smooth!
-The best toner for any skin type would be a splash of cold water. I personally splash my face with cold water, 5 times, right after waking up! It minimizes the pores and gives you a smoother skin texture. Beside that, it also refreshes your mind!
-Don't stress yourself too much! Have fun!

Anne Curtis Wears Francis Libiran for America's Next Top Model

Konnichiwa! I would like to make a blog about my fellow Filipina, Anne Curtis as she wears Francis Libiran's dress for America's Next Top Model. I'm so happy for her!

ABS-CBN star Anne Curtis will be seen modelling the creations of Filipino fashion designer Francis Libiran on the hit US reality show “America’s Next Top Model.” Curtis recently had a photo shoot wearing four Libiran gowns with ace lensman Marc Nicdao, which will be shown on the popular show hosted by supermodel Tyra Banks. “The cat is out of the bag. I can finally announce it! Yes, I will be on ‘America’s Next Top Model’ wearing the beautiful gowns of Francis Libiran. Congratulations Francis Libiran! You deserve the recognition,” Curtis said on her official Twitter account on Sunday. The episode will be shown in the US on April 25 and in the Philippines on April 30, according to the actress. “I’m super duper nervous that Tyra is going to be able to see the pictures. I’m excited to find out what she has to say,” Curtis said in a video posted on YouTubeAccording to Curtis, Libiran was chosen as a featured designer on the show “and he chose me to wear his creations here in the Philippines.” Based on the format of the show, presumably the photographs of Curtis will be part of a video package to introduce the designer, whose creations will be worn by the contestants during a challenge. “What we really appreciate with Francis is that he really took the time to invest and create looks specifically for the show,” said Fil-American Michael Carandang, a producer on “America’s Next Top Model.” For his part, Libiran said: “As a Filipino designer I’m very privileged that I was chosen to be part of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ to create a collection for an episode there.”

Here's the link for the YouTube Video:  http://youtu.be/Mx6zQAlKkg4 or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mx6zQAlKkg4&feature=youtu.be

How to Prevent a Sunburn!

Konnichiwa! Happy Summer . Summer is fun but sunburns aren't. Here are some tips to avoid them in the first place. So you won't be like me suffering from the pain of the sunburn. : /
First, sunburn is a burn to living tissue, such as skin, which is produced by overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, commonly from the sun's rays. Usual mild symptoms in humans and other animals include red or reddish skin that is hot to the touch, general fatigue, and mild dizziness. An excess of UV radiation can be life-threatening in extreme cases. Exposure of the skin to lesser amounts of UV radiation will often produce a suntan.

1. Stay out of the sun during peak hours. While these times may vary slightly depending on the season and and where you live, the hours between 10:00 (10:00 am) and 15:00 (3:00 pm) should be spent indoors if at all possible.

2. Keep covered up. Floppy hats and large umbrellas work well but so do beach cover-ups and the like. Long-sleeved cotton shirts are excellent for hiking, cycling etc; see your sports store for special brands that allow breathing as well as cover-up.

3. Use sunscreen on any exposed areas. An SPF of 45+ is recommended for it allows even the fairest skinned folks to stay out in the sun for a few hours before reapplying. Try Vaseline or chapstick on your lips. Follow the instructions on sunscreen carefully; reapply when it says to reapply or it may not work properly. Always reapply after leaving the water, as it'll have washed off.

4. Don't forget hard-to-reach places. Don't forget to cover the backs of your knees, back of your neck, elbows and back of your ears (if you have short hair). Feet should also be included if you are wearing sandals, flip-flops or going bare-foot. Even these places can hurt a lot with sunburn.

5. Don't lie in the sun purposefully seeking a tan. This is not only damaging to your skin but might burn you the first few times you try it at the beginning of the season. If you want to tan, do it gradually and sensibly, with short exposure and building up over time.

Have a Joyful Summer everyone! ^.^

HappyBirthday to my Mommy! 04-20-12

Happy Birthday Mommy!
We actually celebrated my mom's birthday as a pool party. Located near our subdivision it was rented for about P1000.00 . She invited all of her friends and some kids. We started at exactly 9:30 in the morning and ended up 6 o' clock in the evening. Me and my brother swim for about 7 hours and ended up having sunburns! (Ouch!). Here are some of the snapshots during the party! Scroll down and Enjoy looking at it!
Here's a view of the pool. It has a wall of pebbles around it! See that Blue Seal floating in the water! I loved riding it but i often lost my balance! Ugh! :DD

They have fun time eating with the food me and my mom cooked . It was pansit ( Veggie Pasta) , Fried Chicken , Skewed Hotdogs with Flower-shaped marshmallows on top(Yummy!), Cold Orange Juice & alcohol drinks! ( I don't drink alcohols! It's a big NO! NO! ) ^.^

I forgot to put on some sunscreen and look how I ended up! My skin tone gets darker and I ended up having sunburns in my shoulders and back! It really hurts. On my next blog I'll give you some Tips on How to Prevent Sunburn. So you will avoid to have one! ^.^  Bye-bye! (^_^)

Ways to enjoy Summer 2012!

Konnichiwa! Summer vacation is a very happy time in a teenagers life. No longer must you worry about school. The world is yours, and you can do anything! Time for the beach, friends, and SUMMER! That means Time for FUN!!! So, I'll give you some ways to enjoy summer without getting bored. :]

1. Go places! Go to the mall, the beach, the library, or wherever alone or with a group of buddies and just hang out for a while. You can also have a party or sleepover if you're allowed. Now you don't have to worry about your parents saying, "No, because it's a school night."

2. Go to the movies. This is still fun during the day as well as night. Just make sure you can convince some friends to come with you. It's somewhat embarrassing to be caught alone in a movie theater.

3. Go swimming. It's a very common thing to do during summer . But remember to put your sunblock before swimming in the water! :D

4. You can go even deeper than these suggestions if you like. You could take time to write a novel, find out who you truly are, discover the meaning of life, look for true beauty, or have some "family time." Now that you don't have the stressed of peer pressure and studying, you CAN.

5. Try something new/adventurous! You can learn how to bake, learn how to swim, learn how to ride a motorcycle just as what I am doing these days. ( I'll post some of my pictures. :D )

6. Read a book series. This may sound boring, but it will help you do better in school come fall with all of the new vocabulary you have learned, and also just being able to focus your brain on something useful! Try Harry Potter or Stephenie Meyer's books (Twilight) .

7. Relax. Summer isn't ALL fun and games. It can also be a time for resting your brain after all that hard work at school. Go ahead; sleep in if you want. Watch some television, walk around in your bare feet...just whatever puts you in a calm mood.

Day 4: Good Friday

                                                           Good Friday
This is a time when I take part in a form of penance to repent from my sins. This day was solemn and a very spiritual day for me. 0:]

Day 3: Maundy Thursday (Night Swimming in Volets Resort)

                                                     Night Swimming
This was one of the things I've enjoyed in the whole week. 'Cause this was the day I have faced my fears in heights and also I have learned how to swim. Yay! Good thing my brother had patience to taught me. Job well done Piolo! :]

Here is a picture of mine with me, my brother and my mother while having some snacks after swimming. :]
